Now that Bulbapedia is out, what other pokemon resources would you recommend?

It's ironic and sad, really, what happened. But I still admire what he did in the past for the community and wish things hadn't gone the way they did. He should have handled himself better, but that tends to be how people with a lot of power react when things fall away from their visions and dreams. Let this be one final "thank you" to him, even though he won't ever see it.

And I really have no sympathy for him and a few of the other old greats because of whatever really happened, because from what I've gathered, when things started going badly he gave up. Started doing the whining he hated others doing. Turned himself into what he fought against. Started trolling and bashing Bulbagarden and what it did, just because he wasn't in as much control as he had been. Somebody I had admired and tried to do my best for degraded himself to a simple internet troll.

The only reason he started so much stuff is because he had the staff protect possible names from being created, and then he would sit on his computer waiting for the moment the English names were revealed so that he could rush and create the page. And many of the points he added to articles he had previously told others they couldn't add, only to wait a few weeks and then add himself. The point of this isn't to bash TTE, he's a cool guy. But he's been raised to demigod status. It's silly.

So I just found this blog by looking up "what happened to ttechidna", since I had an internet dry spell when everything happened and I never bothered trying to look hard for an answer. Yes, TTEchidna did a lot, meaning... nearly everything major for Bulbapedia in those two years, but he took way too much credit for everything else too. Yeah, he started a lot of articles, but they were maybe a few sentences. Everybody else expanded them and made them what they are.

Bonjour. As a former Bulbapedia admin, I was wondering if you could answer a question of mine. Let's say someone writes a lengthy, necessary and poorly written section on a character. And by lengthy, I mean four paragraphs of essentially summing up every episode the character has ever been in. If someone shortens this section (by deleting most of it), is that grounds for blocking them for a month? Shouldn't they give the editor (who is new) a warning?

There was no real guideline when I was an admin, it was up to the discretion of whoever saw it and after. I would normally warn them with a stern message and not block, but sometimes someone else would block them after and give them a blocking message. Alternatively a discussion was held between myself and another member about why I didn’t block them blablabla and yeah
